An LRC reader sends the following along in response to my post on state worship in the Methodist Church:

Your lucky. The Baptist church I attend had a service entitled “America: We Must Not Forget”. It included the following:

Pledge of Allegiance
The Star Spangled Banner
Sea of Glory with America the Beautiful
Our God Reigns on High with Battle Hymn of the Republic

Special Guest Speaker
Lieutenant General R. Steven Whitcomb, Commanding General Third Army.

During various parts of the “service” the American flag was marched around the church.
