St. Patrick’s in Alexandria

Writes Andy Currie:

I was in Alexandria, VA, during the St. Patrick’s Day parade yesterday with two friends. We were there to watch the “Protest Easy Guns” group protesting Starbuck’s café at the foot of King St. and to patronize the establishment in support of the company’s decision not to ban those who choose to openly bear arms while buying coffee. As the parade started, it was led by a bunch of Alexandria cops on motorcycles. I wisecracked, “All parades must begin with a display of State power.” One of my buddies turned to me and said, “You’ve been reading too much Lew Rockwell!”
