I’ll be giving a talk on my book, Hamilton’s Curse, and its relevance to the current economic crisis, at the York County, Pa. Campaign for Liberty on Sept. 10, one week from today. Free and open to the public.
Alexander Hamilton was the founding father of central banking, corporate welfare, the idea of a dictatorial president, protectionism, and the ideas of “implied” powers of the Constitution. He also was the first to advocate the most expansive interpretation possible of the General Welfare and Commerce Clauses of the Constitution. No wonder the Washington/Wall Street establishment reveres him so much. His motto might as well have been “that government is best which governs most.”
