So in response to this, I wrote:
“Yes, who could possibly be interested in the story of the one congressman who isn’t an ignorant hack, who stands up to the warmongers and propagandists of both parties, and who (unlike you) actually understands monetary issues. Hayek won the Nobel Prize for explaining how central bank manipulation of interest rates sows the seeds for economic downturns.
“But you already knew that, of course, right? Oh, wait, it’s your job to give the conventional line on everything, and never have a single independent thought. Sorry to disturb you.”
UPDATE: Read the comments there now. This poor guy (a sportswriter, I’m told) won’t know what hit him.
