Soldiers To Be Kept in Ignorance

Writes a soldier:

Thought you and your readers would be interested to know that an order has come down from GEN Petraeus that Coalition Forces in Afghanistan are not to access the Wikileaks site.  This order is to be disseminated to the “lowest level,” meaning every single troop.  The justification given is that most, if not all of the recently released documents on the Afghan war, are classified.  The order explains that even after a document is made available in the public domain, it is not automatically declassified.  For this reason, all soldiers must not access wikileaks.org lest they risk introducing classified materials onto an unclassified computer system.  Of course, all your readers know the real reason the troops are not allowed to access the site: “Truth is treason in the empire of lies.”
