Sing a Song for Ron Paul

Matt Labash, one of the less offensive writers at the Weekly Standard, makes fun of all the people who have written songs about Ron.

Why one of the less offensive? Because he has a sense of humor, which might mean he isn’t really a neocon. Or that he’d laugh as he waterboarded you.

In any event, while he claims a dancing pizza’s anti-RP lyrics are Ron’s fault, he does give some space to the good guys, including our own Mark Thornton.

Of course, in Matt’s snarkfest there are lines like: “those called everything from Paulheads to Paultards to Ronulans.”

In that spirit, I began to think of potential neocon bands: Bill Kristol and the Cluster Bombers, or Fred Barnes and the Dead Iraqis. But somehow it wasn’t funny anymore.
