Seamus Heaney, RIP

Civilization has lost another great Irish poet, Seamus Heaney (1939-2013).  He wrote of poetry’s “power to remind us that we are hunters and gatherers of values, that our very solitudes and distresses are creditable. . . ”

Why can’t nature leave people like this alone, and go take a snatch at some of the hooligans and barbarians?
