Hidden in all of the news about the too-big-to-fail auto industry, another American icon went under. Well, not really:
Polaroid said the bankruptcy filing “will not impact day-to-day operations for employees, customers, retailers and suppliers.”
Seems that the end of the world will not come when a company is insolvent. In fact, the company and the products may still exist, with minimal impact on employment.
Maybe we don’t need to save Polaroid, after all. But, the biotech/pharma industry has been laying people off…maybe we can save them!
