Eric Garris informs me of the sad news that Russell Means, the charismatic Oglala Sioux leader, American Indian Movement activist, libertarian, secessionist, champion of hard money and 100% reserve banking, and movie and TV actor has died of throat cancer at the age of 72. He was an extraordinary man.
