Referring to the FED, Romney said “I don’t think a massive new QE3 will help the economy.” I completely agree.
I didn’t expect him to say a word about the FED, so this surprised me. In my memory, it’s rare for either presidents or candidates to mention the FED or a specific like QE3. Ron Paul has had an influence in this respect. In addition, Romney is trying to sell himself as better on the economy than Obama. Now I’d expect Obama (or his minions) to criticize Romney for saying this because the FED is supposed to be independent. It’s an Alice in Wonderland script when it comes to political campaigns.
