Roger Milliken, RIP

The great South Carolina textile entrepreneur and “anarcho-protectionist”—in Murray Rothbard’s phrase—is dead at 95. He was a great gentleman, a high-tech innovator, and a hugely successful businessman. For many years, he had Robert LeFevre put on an annual week-long anarchism conference for Milliken & Company executives, and never stopped supporting Bob’s ideas, with one exception. Mr. Milliken was an opponent of free trade in textiles, but a proponent of the free-trade Mises Institute. May God rest his great soul. (Thanks to Alan Turin)
