The Pentagon has for several years now been developing a miniature bird-drone as a spying device. How far will the State go in its efforts to control its citizens and  spy on other nations as a tool of control? As far as it possibly can! To total control if people submit. Real IDs, corneal identification, bank account monitoring, internet search spying, random searches at bus terminals, subways, and highways, assaults at airports — these are but a few existing examples. Imagine implants that spy on one’s every movement. Imagine networks of children or other pliable citizens that spy on those around them. If it can, the State will crush the human spirit. It is the human spirit in the final analysis that has to resist and crush the State. This is going to take a profound, radical, and revolutionary transvaluation of values. It is in this context that the outpourings spreading through North Africa and the Middle East are most heartening as steps in this direction. May this flicker of light spread worldwide (to benighted Americans too) and grow into mighty beams of illumination!
