Robert Culp, RIP

Those of us who came of age during the 1960s spy craze in movies and television will always have fond memories of one of the better TV shows of that era: I Spy. It was the first television series to feature an integrated cast of leading players. Bill Cosby played the Black agent. Robert Culp, who passed away suddenly today at the age of 79, played the White agent. One of the best parts of the show were the exciting opening credits featuring terrific theme music:

For Generation X’ers, Culp will be remembered as playing the FBI agent on the hit 1980s series, The Greatest American Hero (the show’s theme song became a hit single).
