Reagan Revisionism

In foreign policy, Ronald Reagan talked a pretty belligerent game, but the reality, in retrospect, seems different. He left Lebanon. He settled with Gorbachev. An antiwar scholar I talked to today agrees, and thinks Reagan might have been “a second Eisenhower.” Has anyone written on this?
