Read it to believe it

Do you remember when leftists were telling us that the mass murders committed in communist countries were not important because “in order to make an omlet, one must break some eggs”? In other words, the goals of communists were so high that any atrocities committed in the name of imposing communism were morally justified.

In his defense of the Iraq war, columnist Michael Medved declares that:

“The way to judge the morality of a military effort isn’t to consider the level of enemy death and suffering but to examine the purpose for which that destruction has been inflicted.”

All I can say is that you have to read his column to believe it. It truly is stunning the depths to which our so-called moralists have sunk.
