re: Wenzel’s Law

Lew, I also Googled that critic of Ron Paul and Austrian economics since I thought it bizarre that she would claim in print that Ron Paul knows “nothing” about monetary economics.  Since I’ve been a Ph.D. economist associated with the Austrian School for 31 years, and have never heard of this person, it sounded, well, full of juvenile hubris and chutzpah.  Sure enough, she has no credentials in economics; has apparently never written anything on the subject but a few notoriously wrong-headed blog posts; and has a degree in English but no formal education in the field she claims to be Such The Expert in — monetary economics.  (She has a business degree, but that is not an economics degree.  MBA students typically take one short course in economics that in no way would qualify anyone as an “expert” in monetary theory).

And, oh yes, she’s married to a Koch Foundation-funded functionary at [T]Reason magazine.

She also praises in print the arrest and imprisonment of the WikiLeaks founder and claims that her political hero is Lincoln.  Another New York City neocon, in other words, masquerading as, well, as something else.
