Karen: Do these economic illiterates offer any explanation as to why the motive of “greed” finds expression within the business community only on occasions often separated by decades, or why such impulses arise within businessmen simultaneously, as though in response to some common signal? Do they speculate as to what the “common signal” might be that might cause their “greedy” dispositions to come to the surface every few decades? No, I didn’t think they would want to explore that question!
Should this become a best-seller, will they next inform us of weather patterns? Perhaps we should look forward to their next book to be titled “Wet Sidewalks Cause Rain.”
