Butler, this classic cartoon says it all. Just yesterday I was in two manifestation meetings for special education students who were being suspended. The meetings were to determine if their ADHD disability contributed to the aggressive behavioral conduct for which they were being suspended. Both had been prescribed psychoactive drugs. One student refused to take their medication because they did not “want to be good.”
