Having destroyed the small genuinely conservative/limited government part of the Republican Party and turned it into a party of fascism and imperialism (a.k.a., “National Greatness Conservatism”) under Dub-Yuh, I hear from an insider that the Republicans in Congress are so clueless that they are seeking advice from the same neocons who have essentially destroyed them. I’m told that the likes of David Brooks is advising them to support Obammunism, trillion dollar pork barrel and all, or they “will be out of power for the next generation.”
As Chris says below, they never had any principles of any kind.
