Dr. Morse does not propose a corresponding increase in the payroll taxes paid by parents of large families, thus there is no denying that she is endorsing a massive redistribution from those with small families and the childless to those with large families. But that’s okay, since by increasing fertility, Dr. Morse’s scheme will save Social Security. I thought Lord Acton opposed social engineering….
