Joseph, Brian, Lew, and Bob: The openness and interchange of which you write is a reflection of the nature of the new systems of communication. The old order — with its top-down, vertically-structured, “we’ll tell you what we want you to know” methods — is being replaced by horizontal networks of individuals who speak with one another. This is but one of many phenomena that members of the lockstep-media just don’t understand about the Internet.
Earlier this morning, I carried on some extended e-mail conversations with a reader on an issue I had raised in a blog. Afterwards, he responded to me: “I truly appreciate our exchange. It’s nice to be able to have a dialogue with anyone from LRC, some of the few rational people you can find on the internet.”
THIS is the “new world order” which, like their frightened reaction to the Ron Paul phenomenon, the statists just don’t grasp!
