Tom:  CNN has made its megaphone available for the cause: it has been interviewing some “ordinary folk,” asking them how their lives, businesses, etc., are being harmed by the make-believe “shutdown.” But little attention has been given to the real catastrophe to be played out: the cancellation of the Navy vs. Air Force football game this Saturday. Is nothing sacred? Will the pigskin faithful be left with only re-runs of “Gilligan’s Island” or “I Love Lucy” to occupy their minds?
