So, Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think there are any genuine conservatives he can support. Since when was he concerned about that? He supported both Bushes. Neither one of them is any more conservative than the current crop of Republican candidates.

John and Lew: Don’t forget that Limbaugh began his rise to popularity taking essentially a libertarian point of view. He had no use for either Republicans or Democrats, and skewered both George Bush I and Bill Clinton with equal ferocity. He then was apparently invited to sleep overnight in a GOP White House and found himself an overnight bedfellow. I suspect that, like many conservatives today, he is desperately trying to salvage some degree of respect after years of being an avid neocon cheerleader. Based upon his recent history, I suspect that a future GOP presidential statist will bring him right back to his round heels.
