As long as we allow the state — and ourselves — to think of people as “resources,” or of foreign deaths as “collateral damage,” the statists will continue to “invest” any number of such “resources” to their psychopathic purposes. The total amount of carnage is irrelevant to such people. In the words of one of George W’s former press secretaries, the final count is “just a number.”
