Lew:  This sinkhole was obviously occasioned by the congruence of four factors: [1] the failure of private capitalism to provide for the equal distribution of wealth (Guatemala is a relatively poor country); [2] global warming (as has been shown to have been the cause of the volcanic eruptions in Iceland);  [3] the lack of government regulation; and [4] greedy speculators responding to the troublesome economic conditions in the world.
