re: Good for al-Jazeera

Writes George Mora: “I also was very happy to see al-Jazeera’s coverage of Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty Convention. I think it shows the growing interest in the global Arab and Muslim community for Dr. Paul’s philosophy of free markets and peace (btw, Justin Raimondo of antiwar.com has also been interviewed by al-Jazeera in recent weeks). There is a free market revolution underway in the Middle East similar to what happened in the Far East a generation ago. Dubai is at the epicenter of it. You should visit and see how the desert is blooming and booming due to free market capitalism. And if you want an interesting location for a future libertarian scholar’s conference, I would suggest Dubai is the place to be.”

Re: Good for al-Jazeera

In light of all the good coverage of what went on at Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty Convention, even by al-Jazeera, isn’t it pathetic that all that [T]Reason magazine could muster was a snarky comment about how some guy from the John Birch Society happened to show up along with thousands of other people? (The magazine’s editor then expressed hope for another slanderous smear campaign by the same young hack “journalist” who tried to make a name for himself with the first one). Envy really does cause some people to make asses of themselves, doesn’t it?
