Casey I still love the Steelers and the Pirates even though they convinced then-Governor Tom Ridge and the Pennsylvania State legislature to use tax money to build two new stadiums in Pittsburgh, one for baseball and one for football, after the people of Pittsburgh voted down a proposed bond issue to finance the stadiums. This ended up costing more than if the project had been financed locally since Ridge had to give Philadelphia a taxpayer-financed boondoggle in order to win the support of Philly-area legislators.
