Holder is just repeating the academic mantra of “diversity.” By this the academic bureaucracy means: insitutionalized racial discrimination against white males. Not non-discrimination and color-blindness, but vicious, vindictive, hateful discrimination.
Their collectivist ideology informs them that if say, blacks, are not represented in university astrophysics departments in proportion to their numbers in the general population, the only possible reason is “oppression” by whites that placed educational roadbblocks in their place. Thus, simple non-discrimination, or judging people by the content of their character (or academic qualifications) rather than the color of their skin will not do. We MUST judge people primarily according to the color of their skin, they tell us, and adopt pervasive hiring quotas by race. Nothing is more important in higher education today, at least according to the pop-Marxists who dominate university administrations.
That’s why Holder called all of white America “cowards” in his speech, a few months after we elected a black president. We supposedly need to be “brave” enough to silently acquiesce in even more pervasive racial quotas, and even reparations for slavery. Obama himself said on the campaign trail that the civil rights revolution “did not go far enough” because it did not include a massive racial redistribution of income via the tax-and-spend system.
