Re: Democrats Ron Paul Moment

Lew: I noticed that the chairman, Antonio Villaraigosa, had to ask the delegates three times to vote on the motion to approve — by the required 2/3 vote — the platform. It seems to have taken this many votes to overcome the chairman’s conclusion that a 2/3 majority had been achieved when, to any ear, it was evident it had not. Unlike the GOP’s pre-determined outcome — with the establishment’s decision projected on the teleprompter for John Boehner to read — it may be that those in charge of programming the Democratic teleprompter had been slow in getting the desired message to the chairman.

It has been said that there are two things one ought not to see being made: (1) sausages, and (2) legislation. The conducting of political conventions should be added to the list!
