Re: Darn Right I Don’t Vote (Except for Ron Paul, of Course)

Like Karen, “I’ve been passionate about being a dedicated, anti-voting, anti-president, anti-politician non-voter for over a dozen years.”

The only time in recent memory that I voted was to vote against a local tax increase. Although I did vote at one time, I never voted for anyone. I always voted against the evil Democrats. I soon learned that the Republicans were just as evil but I figured that they were the lesser of two evils. Once, some years ago now, I realized that that was not the case, I quit voting altogether.

But all that was before Ron Paul. I recently did two things that I never thought I would ever do. 1. I rejoined the Republican Party (but only so I could vote in the Florida primary). 2. I voted for a candidate instead of against a candidate (Ron Paul). The Florida primary is not until January 29, but Florida has early voting so I took advantage of it so I could be one of the first to vote for Ron Paul and so that I could hurry up and ditch my Republican Party membership. It sure was exciting to see Dr. Paul’s name on the ballot.
