Tom: Cozying up to whatever gang sits atop the power structure would seem to be implicit in locating the site of one’s operations in D.C. Otherwise, with whom would these people be able to have schmoozy lunches or invite to speak in their auditorium? It’s all an expression of the fatuous mindset that, if fundamental change is to occur in America, it is the politicians who will lead the way!
How nice that Mises is well-established in Alabama. How much more effective might Cato and IHS, themselves, have become had they stayed on the west coast, reflecting a different outlook as to who could bring about change?
