re: Complicity

I also bought a copy of the book Complicity while at the New York Historical Society’s “Slavery in New York” exhibit a few months ago with Butler and Bretigne Shaffer. I’ve incorporated some of it into a chapter entitled “The Myth of the Morally Superior Yankee” in my forthcoming (Oct. 1) book, Lincoln Unmasked, which contains all new material on The Great Obfuscator and The Lincoln Cult.

The book Slavery in New York is also available for sale by the NY Historical Society. In it you will learn that slavery was not ended in New York City until the mid 1850s, and was still being practiced in New Jersey until 1865.
