Re: California State Workers Union Approves a Strike

Lew, in regards to your post about the state workers in California, a friend who just moved here from California told me that government jobs can be identified by the fact that it takes about 11 people to do the job of one person.  I replied that if they strike, then it will take 11 people to do the job of no one, so few people in California will notice.

Dorothy Parker, when told of the death of Calvin Coolidge, derisiviely asked, “How you can tell?”  Well, if the state workers in California take a walk, how will anyone be able to tell they are on strike?
