re: Beltway Libertarians and Ron Paul

Beltway COWARDS is more like it, Norm. I note that no one is quoted by name in the article saying the “beltway libertarians” consider Dr. Ron Paul to be “a bit of a yokel.”

Ron is not a “yokel”; he’s an ADULT, unlike the “cosmopolitan” beltway libertarians (as the article calls them)–and unlike Dub-Yuh and Clinton for that matter.

Re: Beltway Libertarians and Ron Paul

What I found most amazing in the New Republic’s profile of Ron Paul was Brian Doherty’s observation that some beltway libertarians view Dr. Paul as “somewhat of a yokel.” Dr. Paul not only has a far greater knowledge of Austrian economics and libertarian political philosophy than at least 95% of the DC-think tank crowd, but he also ran a successful medical practice before, and during a large part of, his political carrier. Thousands of women trusted Dr. Paul to deliver their babies, I wouldn’t trust a beltway libertarian to deliver my pizza.
