Multiple warnings of impending hijackings and a big attack were known to U.S. agencies and officials well before 9/11. They were negligent in not following these up. Government-provided security is worse than a mirage. It renders even more insecure those under its so-called protection. Now the warnings of nuclear and/or radioactive terror events, here or in Europe, are again rising. I expect such an attack eventually, not immediately. Searching everyone who boards an airplane and random searches at every bus stop, rail station, and stadium are not going to stop it. The government’s incompetence in gathering intelligence, combining it from multiple sources, correlating it, assessing it, and acting on it is phenomenal! The government is phenomenal at doing what doesn’t need to be done and failing to do what needs to be done.
Many innocent people here and abroad have been and will continue to become the innocent victims in the spiral of violence and war on which the U.S. and its allies have embarked in their misguided war on terror. What needs to be done? Among other things, stop the war on terror, end all overseas military operations, close down bases, end alliances with foreign governments, stop foreign aid, stop military aid to foreign nations, stop supporting the World Bank and the IMF, end the special relationship with Israel, stop sanctions against such nations as Iran, and stop dumping agricultural products. Open the U.S. market. Aim for neutrality. Aim for non-interference in the affairs of other nations. Aim for peaceful and mutually advantageous relations with all.
