CNN had a feature today addressing the extent to which racial bias might be getting injected into the presidential contest. Most of the attention was given to some alleged McCain supporters who had used “code” words supposedly designed to evoke racist responses. (One example of so-called “code” words – although not used by CNN in its report – was a “liberal” organization that recently treated the criticism of “socialism” as a “code word” for racism!)
The CNN report did note the results of a survey of voters, broken down by race. The poll showed 45% of white voters, and 97% of black voters, intending to vote for Obama. Any indication of racial bias in such figures?
