Prosecutors Gone Wild in Wisconsin!

You have heard of the “Girls Gone Wild” films, and it seems to me that a prosecutor famous in Wisconsin for prosecuting “sex crimes” is wanting to get in on the act himself. As I point out on my blog today, Kenneth Kratz, a Republican “get-tough” prosecutor in Wisconsin sent a load of text messages to a crime victim in which he obviously was soliciting sex. There were no videos of Kratz stripping, but the contents of his messages were pretty racy.

Well, it turns out that at least for prosecutors in Wisconsin, this kind of behavior is perfectly legal. Now, if anyone who is not an “officer of the court” were to do the same thing, this person most likely could be prosecuted and sent to prison. Apparently, the agency that “disciplines” attorneys in Wisconsin could not even get itself to send this guy out the door. If someone wishes to understand WHY we have so much prosecutorial misconduct in this country, look nor farther than this case to understand that we are not dealing with “double standards” of justice; we are dealing with NO standards of justice for those who are privileged to have the proper legal title beside his or her name.
