The weekly pro-life television program, Facing Life Head-On has earned a Regional Emmy Award for the episode entitled “A Lifetime Sacrifice.” The category was “Specialty Programming—Military Programs.”
“A Lifetime Sacrifice” is a patriotic program that shares the tragic and triumphant stories of American soldiers and their families.
In his acceptance speech, host and executive producer of the program, Brad Matte, of the Life Issues Institute, paid tribute to those serving in the military: “One of the biggest fears the families of those who serve have is that their loved one’s sacrifice will be forgotten. We are honored that our program could be a part of remembering our nation’s heroes and sharing their stories.”
But he also made this ridiculous statement: “Our American heroes and their families are putting themselves on the line for our liberties—first among them is the right to life.” So, soldiers who deny Iraqis, Afghans, and others the right to life are fighting for the right to life of Americans? More pro-life nonsense.
