Pope Benedict XVI hates freedom

Pope Benedict XVI’s World Day of Peace message called for governments to observe ethical limits on their conduct in fighting the war on terror. This is an implicit criticism of indefinite detentions, waterboarding, denial of habeus corpus, warrantless wiretapping, preemptive war, and other hallmarks of the US Government’s war for democracy. Watch for the theocons to explain how the Pope is “misguided” and that torture does not violate traditional Catholic teachings.
