Poor Paris Hilton

Writes Dan Smith: “This latest example of a justice system gone mad, of sending Paris Hilton to jail for 45 days as a form of public theater, reminds me of an article I read at the Mises Institute about the outrageous disproportionality our courts apply in sentencing. Paris is guilty of being stupid, for sure, but that judge and DA are evil.

“I don’t know anyone who isn’t alarmed at the outrages in our courts these days perpetrated by thoroughly incompetent and rotten judges, and state’s attorneys who are worse yet, who heap abuse on the heads of their fellow citizens for personal gain. These are truly bad people with bad intentions with the reins of power in their hands. Add to that foul brew all the losers with a chip on their shoulder and paramilitary delusions who are becoming cops, and sooner than we think Americans will be arrested and railroaded into jail for hate crimes such as criticizing the person of our president.

“Ironically, the people gloating over poor Paris’s predicament undoubtedly have no clue that their own rights are being erased and that such evil will sooner or later come knocking at their own door.”
