Petraeus Pleads Guilty

Former Army general and CIA director David Petraeus has admitted “that he gave eight handwritten journals containing highly classified information about secret operations and identities of covert officers to his mistress in 2011 and then lied about it to the FBI.” Petraeus pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of retaining classified information. He agreed to pay a $40,000 fine. Prosecutors agreed not to charge him with more serious crimes and said they would recommend that he receive probation.

Petraeus commanded troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan. This means he has blood on his hands and is guilty of crimes far greater than what he was or could have been charged with. This is because these unjust wars were crimes against humanity. Crimes for which Petraeus was once called a hero.
