I just saw the worst case of patriotic idiocy on display. In the middle of Wal-Mart, an old man, dressed in red, white, and blue, began to loudly sing “God Bless America” as he walked up and down the aisles. I didn’t stay in the store long enough to see if everyone applauded or cheered or both.
God bless America? Why should he?
