Panic Panic Panic!

On an ASC panel about finance and markets it was mentioned that “panic” used to be the initial term for what we now call a recession. That, however, was too alarmist. Then depression was used, then recession, slowdown, downturn and numerous others euphemisms.

Let’s reclaim the old, alarmist term and properly refer to the dollar bust as the Panic of 2008.
