Out of the Mouths of Babblers

Before posting this, I looked out my window to see that the sun was still rising in the east and buildings are sitting their foundations rather than turning upside-down: Newt Gingrich actually came out with a trenchant statement. Yes, it’s motivated by party politics and his personal ambition, but still…whoa!

Speaking of the IRS’s current scandal, in which it not only persecuted folks who call themselves patriots and study the Constitution but then lied about having done so, The Lizard opined, “He [the president] has a huge problem because ObamaCare relies very heavily on the IRS… Why would you trust the bureaucracy with your health if you can’t trust the bureaucracy with your politics?”

I know, I know: I, too, am queasy at this topsy-turvy world. You think a guy’s an outright loon until bam, he inexplicably makes sense.

But then The Lizard reassured us that everything is as it was by slipping back into nutcase-mode. He recommends reform rather than abolition of the IRS. Yo, Liz: that would be Reform #1,876,903 That Will Change Absolutely Nothing.
