Second are the cops sent to rescue the damsel who failed to find her apartment until the next morning. Yes. By then, she was dead — a silent but eloquent rebuttal of the idea that the State’s thugs can and do protect, at the airport or anywhere else.
Too bad the cop wasn’t a narc supposed to raid the apartment upstairs or down the hall. For sure he’d have stumbled onto the murder in progress — though the victim might still have wound up dead. Just a different officer killing her, that’s all.
