Our Own Pravda and Radio Moscow

When analyzing the US media, which more and more resemble the old Soviet media, it’s important to understand what is covered and how, and what is not covered and why. But my favorite sort of analysis involves the one-day wonder, the story that bursts forth in major coverage and then is suddenly cut off. The death of poor Pat Tillman is this sort of story. As to why the iron curtain dropped, this may give us a clue.
