Karen and David: Don’t forget that the regulatory song-and-dance has long been that societal and economic behavior is so complex, and beyond the ken of ordinary people, that government agencies are required for the purpose of gathering information and issuing reports on matters not otherwise available to the general public. This will provide members of the public with the information necessary for intelligent voter decision-making in a democracy.
So THAT’S why these agencies have to keep their activities secret from the public! Don’t you understand? It all has to do with, . . . uh, . . . . er, . . . that is, . . . 9/11!
