I am often asked, what are the prospects for the Austro libertarian movement? Should we be optimistic or pessimistic?
I am singularly uninterested in the question of whether libertarianism is on the ascendency or descendency. Why? Because it won’t change my life in the slightest: I will continue to do exactly as I am now doing under either of these scenarios: fighting for liberty as best I can.
What do I do in this regard? Write, publish, do public speaking, interviews on radio and tv, teach, contribute to worthwhile causes such as the Mises Institute, support the election of worthy libertarian candidates such as Ron Paul (but not Bob Barr). In the past, I’ve run for political office on the LP ticket.
What can others do? As much of the above as you can.
