Once-Bold Blair Now AFRAID Of History

Lew, I recall how Tony Blair bragged at the White House that “we will be vindicated by history.”

Well, now that history is being written, apparently tough-talking Tony isn’t so sure any more.

“One reason why Brown is thought to have agreed to a private inquiry may have been pressure from the former prime minister, Tony Blair. The Observer reported that Blair pressed Brown to hold an inquiry behind closed doors because he feared he would be subjected to a “show trial” if it were open to the public.”

Personally, I don’t think he’s afraid of a “show trial.” I think he dreads a real one.
