Laurence:  Depending upon my mood at the moment, when military veterans angrily yell at me “how they fought for my freedom to express my views,” I respond in either of two ways: (1) “you didn’t even fight for your own freedom,” or (2) “then you should be pleased to know that your purpose was fulfilled; that your efforts were not in vain.”
